I would answer Les Horowitz's comment on Dell options in the same manner as Executives did at the SHM
" Since inception of buybacks, Dell has repurchased nearly 1 bil shares at an average cost of $12/sh."
For a net gain of $13 bil plus or minus the tax advantage which I dont understand.
Anyone can have a bad year, and no more puts have been sold in the last two years ( I think that means 2001, 2002)

All employees were once given 200 shares which became 400 after a split so there are many shareholders
in the company who can profit from the options grants and will work hard to make sure their recent options grants of past few years come into the money thru company performance.
Over the past ten years, Dell is still No 2 on the S+P (500 ?) best performance list with an average gain of 52%
I consider Executive compensation way too high for last year but if Dell was at $60 or $80 they would have made billions for the Co. on those puts and you would hear no complaints from me.
