KT,

If a 19% gain YOY in 1999-2000 time frame didn't bother me, why should a 2-year 22% drop be significant? Markets fluctuate over the short term, and I am investing for 40 years (started at age 25). Presently, my 401k (with matching grants from my employer) has returned roughly 13% per year on money that I have put in, over the last 8 years. I can deal with that, and thus DCA into indices doesn't look like a scam to me. Please, tell me why I should feel otherwise?
