I think the reason the S&P is in so much trouble, is everyone - including Europeans - are shorting the hell out of it due to the break of the massive head and shoulders. The world is watching this chart pattern <vbg> That big article in the Financial Times in London weeks ago, pointed the pattern - and huge downside target - out to the entire world! I think the S&P deletions added pressure, but it started to break down well before that announcement... This article was posted on July 12th, about 100 points ago on the SPX. investor.ft.com.
