Chinu,

There are some major differences between the India-Pakistan problem and the Israeli-Arab problem. Most notably, India is a huge and powerful nation, which is in no ultimate danger from Pakistan. The worst Pakistan could do is kill 5% of India's population before Pakistan was removed from the earth. India neither seeks nor needs America's help.

Contrast this with Israel being a tiny country surrounded by 500,000,000 hostile neighbors, largely intent on Israel's destruction. The situations are quite different, and of course US policy has to be different.

The only real commonality between the situations is the ties to Islamic terrorism.
