Interesting that the author would compare the Baathists to Nazis. In reality, it was the Maronite Christians who actually embraced the Nazi movement. The Christian Phalange that committed the Sabra/Shatila massacre under Israeli orders was based on the Spanish fascist movement, and Phalange founder Gemayel spefically cited Nazi Germany as his model.
