I've quantumly wondered about the up in smoke thesis about stocks.. if everyone buys and holds, the price of a stock soars.. ie the market soars.

If everyone sells, the price plummets... ie the market plummets. Therefore "the market" is only rich or poor relative to an individual's ability to hit it right getting in low and selling high.. note the word selling.. stock must be turned into cash for money to have been gained or lost..

One could say that the 7 trillion never existed, at least it couldn't have existed for eveyone, because it would be impossible to extract it from the system without the system collapsing... the market is a little like Schrodingers Cat puzzle in quantum theory.. if everyone looks at the money (ie sells stock), we kill the cat.
