TIVO, like most of your picks, faces extreme risks. Can you answer any of these basic (for a technology company) business questions? I have never even seen you ask them before. Of course there are more.... what competing technologies could make TIVO less attractive if not irrelevant? How fast will the market grow and what is the direction of the pricing structure? Who and what will drive the pricing structure? There is a reason people like Buffet don't invest in technology stocks -- they cannot understand them or properly value them (discounted for risk). Well guess what -- neither can you. But the difference is, since you don't even try to answer these questions, you rely on "dumb luck". I hope you have an abundance of that kind of luck -- you are going to need it. Frankly, there has been a lot of dumb in you approach and not much luck lately -- maybe your luck will return before it is too late.
