Sam ... I have a brother who works for GM Delco. They had to bid internally on the engine control computer for the 99 Buicks. He told me that they were bidding against Motorola and were also buying components from Motorola. The Motorola parts division actually cut them some price concessions so they could win the contract. In those big hog companys the departmental goals supersede the overall good of the company I suppose.
