Hopefully the world such as the UN will be able to fully empathize with that and be able to establish a buffer zone

The UN? What have you been smoking, Chinu? The UN HR Council condemned Israel eight times during its last session (following a long and disgraceful tradition), and fully affirmed its support for Palestinian resistance by all available means. We know what that means, don't we?

I am curious about your take on Shimon Peres's current efforts to talk to the Palestenian leadership, Saeb Erakat in particular

My take is that they are of no consequence, but are designed merely to keep Shimon Peres busy and out of mischief. Check out debka.com today. They say that the US has ambitious plans to replace the PA totally; Arafat and Erekat are history. I'm not sure I believe it, but very interesting if it proves true.
