I think you are right. It had crossed my mind. Maybe that is
why DeBruin has a part time job with them for $75,000 a year.
The other thing I wonder about is the fact that some of the products
were bought with Pacific Whatchamacallit from Lilly. Don't know how
that all fits in. Did Quidel pay too much and was there an indemnification clause in the sale ?. Also, in the agreement, there was the statement that as the various patents expired in different countries the payments would cease.
