I don't know if you noticed but there has been a remarkable metamorphosis of conservatives over the quality of 'international respect'. During the Clinton Administration it was terribly important on the world stage. And Clinton was without 'international respect', even when he was receiving a standing ovation at the UN. Now, when it comes to any criticism of Bush policies by the international press or our Allies, it's 'who cares'. jttmab
