Your claim that Israel shows "expansionist tendencies" isn't justifiable. They could take over all of Palestine any time they wanted to. Two years ago they offered to return > 90% of the remaining land captured after the Arab aggression of 1967. But every time that Israel offers land for peace, they are met by additional Arab aggression, as was the case in 2000.

After the Arabs tried to destroy Israel in 1967, and the Israeli's captured the whole of Palestine in response, the Israelis immediately returned the bulk of the captured territory. The determination was made that Gaza was an essential security buffer from Egypt, and the West Bank was needed to defend against attack by Iraq. Nevertheless, Barak offered two years ago to give the vast majority of this land back, plus part of Jerusalem.

The fact is that Israel has been extraordinarily accommodating of the ongoing psychotic behaviour by their neighbours.
