a revolutionary political actor and ministate with control over a decent chunk of the country. All this makes it very difficult to deal with, both practically and conceptually, IMHO... Yes. I commented on this a few days ago. They are the only Islamic terrorist organization with this type of structure. If they wanted to take over in Palestine from the PLO, they could probably get elected, and give the people there a much better deal than the PLO ever did. This makes them extremely dangerous to Israel. And they have a history of going after us when we have troops in the area.
