I'm not much into movies but this one I saw when it first came out and it affected me profoundly. I saw in in a military theater during wartime. The basic message of the movie, as I remember it, was that the charge of the light brigade was about the dumbest thing undertaken in human history. I say "as I remember it" because it's been more than thirty years. I have never seen the movie offered on TV of in a video store, although I have looked. So my recollection could be off, but that was the message it left with me. Maybe a video store near you carries it.
