Political but relevant discussion item.

Listened to GWB today saying that he feels that the fundamental situation is set up for positive economic growth. Until he is willing to come out of denial about the economic situation, the market will sell off every time he talks.

Saying that the basic economy is fine when we have a huge credit bubble hanging over our heads is like pissing on our backs and telling us that it is raining.

Bush needs to come out of denial, he needs to point his finger at the FOMC and let the world know that he understands where the problems in the economy are centered.

IMO, Bush is not handling the economic situation well. Not that he could do much about the unwinding, but at this rate, all of the blame is going to land on his shoulders.
