Dave,

In the past two weeks I have spoken with several senior executives of software and integration companies. They all said something similar to, "BEA is driving the market today" or "We have to deepen our relationship with BEA."

I don't take this to mean BEA is taking off just now but that the industry is recognizing that a shift is happening towards the BEA technology.

Keep in mind that each of the people I spoke with would be an IBM competitor at some level. This surely biases their opinion.
