Jim,

CIEN has 3 concerns:

1) the extremely large float/floodgate opening in August;
2) Competition from big boyz like Lu;
3) rich valuation of the stock

I like the company, but I wouldn't say it is a safe bet at this time.

PS: As to tech top: not yet for some, but close for others. I don't think the small caps are going to do better than the high-quality, well known, consistently performing stocks, cuz (to a large extent) it is the foreign money that is doing the buying.
