Let go. The main issue is that you feel that my returns should be parallel to S&P500 at 1997 levels, and they are not because I bought insurance. That fact remains, regardless of how much we argue.

But that's not active trading. I buy S&P puts covering my investments, twice a year. Kind of the way I renew my automobile insurance.
