RtS,
it's getting better at select places.. My shortlist is growing. Right now ONNN (own that already), MSCC (will enter soon) and ARRS (like today's earnings PR)

ONNN beats estimates, guides up slighly for Q3 (revenue, GM%, earnings and b2b). OCF positive (Operating Cashflow). Excluding special charges proforma net loss for the quarter is $0.14 GM% up nicely to 27,5% a real achievement - biz.yahoo.com

MSCC .. PSR at 0.78 - seems to be moving more and more into consumer electronic analog (audio, video), power semis and mixed signals. Alliance with CREE, Opto, Wireless as icing when those sectors get hot again... Around breakeven... Military heavyweight. Trading volume receeding. Bottom should be within days. Watching it closely.. GM% is 35%

ARRS .. Arris (Cable Modem & equipment).. Psr at 0.35. GM is 32.5% - remarkable ! Company beats by 4 cents on earnings before special charges. Charges due to Adelphia however this "trade claim" might be at least partially recoverable since ARRS should get New Adelphia common in the process. Those cable equipment makers are faring way better than the telco suppliers. But they were hit equally hard. Fundamentals are good and I'm eying it to enter a long position again here : biz.yahoo.com

All those 3 firms got one thing in common. They trade at dirt cheap levels Price/Sales and GM% wise. Almost at Japanese firms' levels. Should be outperformers of their sector mid term..
