LT,
I believe that we could have been at *the* bottom by now if we had a different money policy. I believe that everything that the FOMC has done in response to the economic downturn has served to make things worse and to prolong the recovery. But then again, all of the corporate misdeed stuff would have to come out eventually too, so maybe I am putting more weight on the money policy than it deserves.
