First of all I'm glad I started a little thought about thinking for yourself..
I don't know what ALT, "head in mind" (g). when he blurted out those fateful words.. about "to do or die".. If he was trying to glorify the situation, he probably wished he would have never wrote them. Maybe the words just popped into his head, because they rhymed,, Or an out of the mouths of babes type situation, A profound statement, that he never meant to write.. But it stuck with me.. Like the last stanza of "The Village Blacksmith"
Hell I wasn't there, and I sure as Hell don't buy into conventional interpretation like others here do. But again, IMO, they are relying what others say, not themselves (g)
But about thinking for yourself, How the Hell can a person do it, when the time comes whether to, if they have no experience in doing it, no practice.. It is a self taught exercise, to say the least..
Thinking as I write, maybe ALT wishes he would have had windows back then, so could have hit "ALT Delete" and rebooted..
Hell, I don't know, but I do know, nobody else here knows either.
