Both AMD and Intel are in a terrible situation, just awful. Lots of capacity which is depreciating and must produce in excess of what the market needs. There is an over capacity for a commodity that the market does not pay any premium for high end, and low end pricing model is not enough to sustain historically high margins. AMD is bleeding cash and Intel is way too expensive considering the fundamentals. AMD will do OK if Hammer is a home run, Intel does not even have that going for it. Mani
