Yeah, I've noticed. Except the former is bleeding faster than I ever could have imagined, while the latter continues to turn a profit. To make things worse, Intel is in a position to take more market share from AMD, given its accelerated roadmap and great execution. Sorry, but I can't say I'm impressed with AMD's execution, except for the great press they've generated from the Hammer Hype Engine.
I guess you haven't understood the nature of my posts, or else you wouldn't be making such asinine insinuations. I also agree that AMD may have a home run with Hammer, but earnings are a long way off, even if they do get it out the door when planned (Q1 2003, now, IIRC).
According to you, Intel has nothing going for them, except that you might have forgotten the fact that they're still profitable, and that sort of helps in this environment. They've also been able to totally dominate the market with their Pentium 4 line, which everyone - including you - thought was unimpressive the first time around. My, how things have changed. Too bad you are still in the habit of defending the lame dog, while bastardizing the incumbent, or else you'd see things a little more clearly.
