Actually, it was more than just an internet bubble.
The bubble included blue chips in general, and in stocks that had anything to do with technology or communication (Trillions of dollars of equity). For example, WorldCom and Deutsche Telekom are more than just "internet companies", one is down almost 90% the other is bankrupt. Anyway, maybe the prosperity of the late 1990's was a little more fabricated than we all thought.
