if tony's brother knew there was going to be an attempt, why would he allow himself to almost be killed? Doesn't make sense.

Tony's brother worked for teh US government. Do you think they would hire a muslim extremist? and allow him to work inside the pentagon? I dont' think so. I don't think his dad is an extremist either. I take it by extremist you mean militant and not religious.
