I don't expect anyone to have foreseen the Storm coming (i didn't either!) BUT when the storm is raging and getting worse each month, I found it hard to believe Russo and others claiming that the recovery was just around the corner.

How could Russo anticipate recovery in demand for LU gear when all her customers (Carriers) were drowning in debt and brutal price erosion & scandals?

That is what I find perplexing.....

Until the major Tier 1 Carriers start to show revenue/profit/cashflow acceleration and clean up their balance sheet to take out the huge loans that are hanging around their neck like an albatross, LU or NT or any equipment vendors have no chance of showing any kind of reversal.

Kinda common sense 101 no?

Buy the Carriers first when they recover...only when you see the Carrier share price recover and the bonds they issued recover in price will you possibly see the equipment vendors start to turn.

Reality is that Carriers will NOT buy anything unless they start to see price/profitability firming up.

You should sell your LU and buy Cable & Wireless for example if you are anticipating any kind of telecom recovery since they will be the first to reap the benefit.
