The more crap I read about real estate makes me glad I'm within inches of having my home completely paid for and its a place that I love enough to want to stay in for the rest of my life. Kinda puts you beyond the reach of worrying whether or not its appreciating and at what rate. People have become as neurotic and obsessive about watching their home values as they were about their stock portfolios in the 90s.
