Let me add a side item that may be of some interest here. Harvey Pitt keeps talking about throwing people in jail. It is my belief he is doing this to protect both the accounting firms, which is obvious, but also the banks. He knows full well there is a special rule, I believe it is called 1244 which allows the banks to do one of these deals without disclosing to the rest of the shareholders. He has made no attempt to resolve what he must know to be a central issue. Instead he pretends he is in the coliseum throwing ceos to the lions to please the crowd. He is Bush's appointee. Either Bush has no clue, or worse, he does. Make me king and I will solve all this crap in about thirty minutes.
