Steve: In GENERAL, if I am entitled to receive .5 shares in a new company, say ZZZ, for each share I held of XXX on the date of record, June 28, 2002, but I sell my XXX after the date of record, will I get the new ZZZ shares or did I convey them along with the XXX shares subject to a due bill?

I think I get them, as opposed to the situation where I sold the XXX shortly before but the trade hadn't settled by the date of record.

(The shares of XXX will be cancelled.)

TIA
