fwiw, I believe it was the Bank of Japan that has stated they would support the US dollar under certain circumstances. On the pure speculation side, we may not be seeing the FED orchestrate the dollar support, it may be an international action to stop the dollars decent. They may need to prop up large multinational banks which have foolishly allowed major speculative positions to spiral out of control.
