Don, one thing I have learned is stay humble or the market will do it for you...My problem as a trader is emotions...I can't believe how hard they are to control, especially when you have just had a huge score....The temptation is always to overtrade...Further, if you have had a string of losses, instead of stopping and thinking what you have done wrong, you immediately try to trade your way out....Trading is almost like a drug...
Therapy time....Repeat after me......
I will not be a loser trader!!! I will be top shelf!!! I will establish disciplines and follow them....(then why did you buy FRSH today at 2 7/8, you moron!!!) Don't mind me, I often talk to myself.... 1) Losers keep trading because they are addicted to the excitement and keep hoping for the big win... 2) Losers make impulsive trades, they go on trading binges...They try to trade their way out... 3) Losers hide their losses, shuffling money, keeping poor records, and throwing away brokerage slips.....
I know what disappointment is like with trading...I sit with some leftover GRNO and V.KRT that I'd like to throw against the wall...Every stock teaches a lesson, and if we can see what we've done wrong, we will succeed and become top notch traders....
