Very important comment by Thomas Jefferson. It proves beyond the shadow of a doubt that he was an antichrist! I read all of Jefferson letters relating to Christ and Christianity and this quote captures the essence of his beliefs. Christian Zionist fundamentalists often try to convince themselves and others that since Jefferson was one of the important American fathers, he must have been a Christian. They twist his words and splint hairs to prove their preconceived ideas. To top it all, Jefferson says in one of his letter: I am a Christian. This is one of their favorites and I have seen many Christian misuse this quote many times. When you look at it in context, Jefferson meant that he is a Christian if you eliminate the miracles in the bible and every other supernatural aspect including the fact that Christ claimed to be the son of God and Messiah. Jefferson believed that the miraculous had been added by the Christian followers of Jesus. Some 30 years ago I ran across Jefferson bible. He stripped the bible of all the miracles, divinity claims and spiritual talk and retained what he called the "moral teachings of Christ."

In the biblical sense, Jefferson is a classical antichrist who rejected Jesus the Messiah and son of God!
