I know what you mean about water, "cool clear water".
We also live on a well in one of the most beautiful areas in northern Nevada. And guess who, finally found us, developers, with no eye to beauty, except to the mighty dollar.. So they built a golf course, within a half mile, designed by Jack Nicklaus, that sucks up millions of gallons of our precious water.. And built multi-million dollar house around it.. And also,
Screwing up a migration route for mule deer from the high country down to their wintering grounds in the process.. We fought it to no avail.. Because, We don't sell out.. Even though it has helped our pocket book one helluva of a lot, we are no cheap whores..
And you know what Chris, Mary had to go up there, recently in preparation for a big golf tournament they hold each year, and she told me what she seen:
Phoney replicas, cement sculptors of, can you believe it . MULE DEER.. in the middle of their complex..
I can't freakin believe it, but I can,, I guess they finally missed the real ones....
