Andreas, It could be a limited "pilot" release, which I speculated in the past would be a great idea. The advantages: - chips in hands of a lot of hands of hardware enthusiasts could uncover potential bugs in the chip - AMD can process a lot more Hammer wafers and sell resulting chips in December / January timeframe at much lower risk, since it would be after 3 month "pilot" of the chip. - allows wider testing of x86-64 software - public testing of x86-64 software will allow earlier GA launch Joe
