wbmw, AMD already launches products in low volume. I don't think I agree. If you said late, I would agree, but once released, the availability has generally been good. Do you have something specific in mind? As far as reducing risk by a lower volume release, notebook release serves that purpose well, since fewer notebook chips are sold as opposed to desktop. Joe
