Bob,
first of all, thanks for your report on Transnet and the systems outsourcing segment.

I still have a few questions regarding Transnet, maybe someone can answer them:

1. What percentage of TRNT's revenue and income stems from
service operations (as opposed to hardware sales etc.)?
The EDGAR filings I have looked at state only the relative
increases, i.e. 26% in FY95 and 40% in FY94, but not the
absolute levels. Similarly, are there any exact numbers
regarding their services and hardware margins? (except for
the frequently mentioned fact that the first is - of course - significantly higher).

2. Why did EPS drop significantly in Q3 of 1996? Some people
on the board here have suggested that this is due to the
company's preparation for anticipated demand when NT 4.0 is
released (for hiring new qualified personnel etc.). However,
revenues have also dropped 10%. Is this just normal cyclical
behaviour? If so, in what way is this industry cyclical (over
the course of the year)? What do you expect earnings to be -
were last year's high Q4 results influenced by special factors?

Any information appreciated.

Christopher
