As of June 30, 2002 Microsoft had, according to them and no one else, $38,652,000,000 of total cash and short term investments. Their cash and short term investment total $31,600,000,000 as of June 30, 2001. So last year it grew at an average of $587,000,000 per month.

The CFO was interviewed by Fortune or Forbes recently and he mentioned that cash was growing at a billion dollars per month.
