Sorry, you're right although I think in addition to different currencies, there are still trade barriers between Britain and EU proper.

Having said that, its still clear that the EU court decision was subordinate to the ruling of the British Ct. and that all the British Ct was required to do was consider the EU court's decision when ruling in the future should an appeal be filed.

One other point is that the whole purpose of the EU is to break down barriers between member nations and its understood by those members that over time your individual sovereignty will diminish in favor of the EU. Its not the same as the US signing a treaty with the EU for an example.
