Applied Films Corporation Receives Large Architectural Glass Coater Order

LONGMONT, Colo., July 24 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Applied Films Corporation (Nasdaq: AFCO - News), a leading supplier of thin film deposition equipment to the flat panel display (FPD), architectural, automotive and solar glass, and the consumer products packaging and electronics industries, today announced that it has received an order for a Terra-G(TM) system for the application of thin films primarily for the architectural and automotive glass market.

Applied Films' Chief Executive Officer, Thomas Edman stated, "We view this order as continued evidence of the success of our Terra-G platform offering for architectural and automotive solar control coatings, and look forward to its successful integration into our customer's state of the art process. This platform uses a unique modular design which offers the potential for improved start-up times and the ability to easily modify the coater to meet changing market needs. We expect to begin recognizing revenue on this project in the second fiscal quarter."
