It's in the municipio de Hostotipaquillo apparently - e-local.gob.mx ... say that real fast six times -g- .... map of the municipio [which is like a regional district in BC] on this page ... quite close to the municipio de Tequila! History and overview of mining in the estado de Jalisco - amsac.com.mx ... page does not permit cut and paste, too bad because about one quarter down the page there is a reference to the Cinco Minas area, says it is important, needs further studies to 'achieve reactivation' Map of Jalisco - mapasdemexico.net ... so it is not distant from Guadalajara, the second most important city of México [never mind what the norteños say up in Monterrey] ... somebody once told me there are now tens of thousands of canadians living on and around the Lago de Chapala, and that they had a canadian daily newspaper even, but i've never found out if that was true or not ... it is lovely country, high enough to be cool and dry mostly with occasional rains, sort of like mountain springtime all the time
