As far as Afghanistan goes, the US's been dragged into another guy's war: the Afghan people (mostly Pashtun) are not Russian, and they don't want to end up as Mr Putin's drudges, toiling away on their cannabis plantations while the Russkies run the oilfields... Bottomline, it's a power struggle between Pakistan and Russia, and the Yanks just crashed the party... And when the whole mess will morph into Vietnam II it'll be shifty dodgers like you who'll chuckle all their way to the bank.
