Hi John: On Joe Lieberman. I'm one of those rare individuals who voted for Bush and Liberman in 2000. He has proven to be a moderate but as a Democrat he leans to the left on issues (it is after all the Democratic power base similar to the conservative Republicans). I don't buy into the Republican conservative issues nor the Democratic liberal issues (too many times they are both hipocritical) although I also don't think we allways need to meet in the middle ground. Joe is more honest than most politicians. Just cause he ran with Gore shouldn't be a strike against him. Not sure if his 1st alligence is to Israel but Israel is an ally. So while I may disagree with some of his positions overall he would not be a bad president (unless of course he was president now and had to deal with the bubble, then he would be just like Bush, painted under circumstances in which he had no control). I thought the Portguese were the #1 slave traders to the US.
