We won't have to have the equivalent of the EU with Canada and Mexico. It would be better just to push for relatively free trade world wide. Barring that we can continue with something like Nafta and gradually lower the allowable trade barriers with our current NAFTA partners and anyone else who joins. All the international political bodies and regulations would just hurt our economic competitiveness, we certainly don't need that. As for willingly joining a world government, I think not and hope not, at least not until the world has changed so much that we can reasonably expect our rights to be as protected by the world government as they are by our current constitutional system. I not only don't expect this to happen in my life time, I wouldn't expect it to happen in my great-grandchildren's life time (should I ever have any). As for desire for EU unity, its not just the UK and Denmark who are against it. One of my links went to an EU wide poll. Many are skeptical about what is happening with the EU and the majority are against trying to make the EU in to one country. Tim Tim
