Clinton violated his oath of office and used the powers of the presidency to conduct a coverup. Heinous.

I'm not suggesting that isn't horrid. But I do make a distinction between abusing one's office to cover up personal foibles that may or may not have been anybody's business in the first place and were certainly peripheral to his job and using his office to undermine the proper function of the government in doing the business of the people. It's like a corporate executive pulling a WCOM vs. a corporate executive chasing skirts in the front office and covering it up. I am not dismissing the latter, not in the least, only trying to put it in perspective. I still have a few shares of WCOM stock. I sure wish Bernie Ebbers had, instead, behaved like Bill Clinton. I might be disgusted, but I wouldn't be poorer.
