<< What about the fact that Rysavy's only sources for data were AWE, Cingular, and other GSM-affiliates entities? >>

Well given the fact that Cingular has operated cdma entities and was the recipient of cdma proposals since IMJ assured us in earnings cc 2 months before their decision that they were a prospect ...

What are the sources that Perry LaFudge used in his press release to back up the statement that IS-95A is 5x GSM?

<< No single reference to 1x carriers' real world experience. Hardly fair or scientific >>

Fair?

Ask Oliver Valente how fair it was that WirelessCo made a vendor financing decision rather than a technology decision and he was stuck with Qualcomm's and CDG's voice capacity projections when he built out.

He's a great spokesman for CDMA today and glad PCS made the technology choice they did but if you have listened to him on webcasts over the last year you will have heard some references to this. Well on second thought you probably wouldn't have since you obviously hear what you want to hear and ignore what you don't want to hear.

<< Why let the facts get in the way of a good story. Should be the GSM world's motto. >>

It was CDG's for many a year and I'm not so sure that it isn't still so I guess that motto is taken.

<< But, hey, your lovefest with the GSM World continues even as the telecom world is slowly decimated by its inept handling of 3G. >>

I choose to listen to both sides of the story.

I choose to invest in more than one comm equipment manufacturer.

My score card is technology adoption, and profitability (and right now 2 out of 3 profitable ones with majority market share isn't bad).

Now you run right along and participate in the moonie prayer meeting that I guess precedes earnings cc, than you can come back and indulge your penchant for hyping Qualcomm and playing thread moron here.

... and you better be right about those gooooooooooood earnings. If you are and you backed up the truck today you should be in clover by 2010.
