Siegel is wrong (IMHO and in the opinion of some people I know who are a lot smarter than me in the area of expected returns). This bear market could last 10 years (or more) and if so, treasury bonds, even at 4.4% for the 10 year, will beat stocks - even a "well-balanced" portfolio.

Having said that, there will be profits to be made up and down. I made a small bet on QCOM this morning and might even add to it tomorrow. But I will hold lightly.

I am learning that the "bear" is bigger than any one stock.
