A question regarding the latest status on our OUM was asked during our last conference call. Stan answered by stating "We still have several more months to go on the validation process". That sounds short term to me. I will leave that up to the more technically competent to perhaps
shed some light on that statement for us. However, it certainly sounds very encouraging in light of the rather long testing period we went through prior to this validation stage.

By the way, for those of you that may not be aware, Ca.
Gov. Gray Davis signed the nation's first bill to regulate greenhouse-gas emissions from cars. The article appeared in the Wall Street Journal on Tues. July 23rd.

Gov. Davis stated "In time, every state and hopefully every country-will act to protect future generations from the threat of global warning. For California, that time is now," He said.

The auto industry opposed the measure.

They have already committed millions to fight this new law. It looks like the fight for cleaner cars and air will go on forever. At least this bill is a push in the right direction.

On another note, also in the WSJ today is an article on
Honda announcing they are the first car maker to receive
certification to market a fuel-cell vehicle from US and Calif. environmental regulators. They will begin leasing fuel-cell powered Honda Civic FCX cars to selected customers beginning later this year. They expect to lease about 30 in Ca. and Tokyo over the next two to three years.
At least it's a start with the existing initial technology.

It goes on to state that "the days of mass-market hydrogen-
fueled cars are still a long ways off". I have to believe this is in light of the existing technology currently being marketed, without public knowledge of our regenerative fuel-cell being fueled by our solid state hydrogen cannisters
that have yet to be publicly demonstrated. Let's hope this
comes about sooner, rather than later. After all, ECD has been deeply involved in this technology for many years, well before the rest of the world even began to think about getting into this race. We have a giant head-start going for us that we so desperately need.

Regards.
