Sharck, I agree with your post 100%, one must keep in mind that the estimate for the S&P is a "fuzzy" number right now as the analyst community is uncertain about how to adjust earnings based on the expense of options. I seriously doubt $55 is obtainable but many seem to be hanging their hat on that number for next year.
