favor: wanted some background info on 1985 Plaza Accord I would greatly appreciate any background info on this G7-type agreement that helped the US Govt and economy I was distracted back then early in my first job the Reagan Star Wars initiative was underway the early 1980 recession was slowly shedding but I cannot recall much on the currency side anybody simply run off several key details on the map I am trying to understand the assistance received by USA and the implications to the USDollar I just read that in 1985 the US$ lost 35% value in 12 months that seems staggering wondering about the background setting for that also, I read that US trade debt was 3% of GDP back then I remember in the mid-1970's the trade gap hit $100B thanks very much you guys here on FADG are extremely sharp with great memories / jim
