Hi Snowshoe, It is an awful enough of a day in HK, where it is 4:10pm, and almost pitch dark due to rain and cloud cover, without you posting depressing <<People will sell gold to pay off debts and buy food and stuff>>. Will it get as bad as all that, selling gold to buy food?! Will not the banks continue on with the home equity ATM program;0) Perhaps the FED can institute a reverse mortgage scheme, where it pays the occupants of Silicon Valley housing to continue living in the housing, who then continue to pay down their mortgages to the banks and securitized market. This method would be even more efficient than Fannie and Freddie shovelling money around. Chugs, Jay
